My final Rad was today!!!  Hubby has been there every step of the way, from the diagnosis, biopsy, surgery and rads.  We celebrated by going out to dinner and my son and daughter showing up to surprise me with flowers and balloons!!  It was a long haul, but finally finished!!  Starting Arimidex in a week and praying to keep this monster out of my poor tired body for the rest of my days!  Praying for the same for all of you.  This group has been informative, encouraging and a real blessing to me.  Love and prayers to all of you!!!!

    Final treatment

    Deb,

    I am fairly new to this site and haven't posted too much.  I have gotten to know a few people but it is difficult for me to type because of nerve damage from my chemo.  However, when I read your post it brought back the wonderful memory of my last treatment.  It so happened that it was the same day as RELAY FOR LIFE in our town and the cancer ctr I go to has a team.  They all knew it was my last day and I got lots of hugs and so much encouragement.  When they read my name during the survivor reading they even mentioned that I had finished treatment that day.  I got such a heartfelt round of applause and lucky me I had my wonderful, supportive husband by my side. I would never have made it thru this mess without him.  So glad to hear your good news and hope and pray you stay healthy for a long time to come.  God Bless you.
