Walking in 5K on Saturday
I will be doing a 5K walk on Saturday to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Of course, I will be taking all of you with me. So don't be surprised if your feet hurt on Saturday night. This is the thrid year I am participating.
Hugs,
Georgia

There were a lot of participants in the 3 races that were all being held at the same time. There was a half marathon which started at 8:45 then the 5K started at 9 and the 10K started at 9:10. The 5K & 10K used the same course but of course they had to do it twice. Beside having all of you to support me I took my dog along and she was wearing a pink scarf of course. Before I even made the first mile I was being passed by the 10K runners. The first 6 of them actually passed me a second time and finished before I did. I really didn't care because they were actually racing and I was walking for the cause. Having all of you out there with me made it a lot more fun! We did the course in 1 hr. which is not bad! Thanks for coming with me!

Thank you Georgia for doing the walk.
I was not always supportive of Susan Komen Race for The Cure. I've come to realize that they do a lot for communities in other ways to help those who need it. They didn't find the cure but no one else has either.
Without the walkers, racers and survivors we all would be much poorer.
Thank you again,
Doris
