That's great news!jen2012 said:good....but....
So the onc said the Ct scan looked good...but...there is one area of "soft tissue" that she is going to discuss with the surgeon. She thinks its inflammation from the dilation procedures hes had but wants to see what he thinks.
If he agrees then she'll check cea monthly and follow with scans every ?? months. Forgot to ask when next scan will be. If surgeon is concerned then maybe a biopsy.
Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers...I wish there wasn't a "but" tho I fully realize that it could have been much worse!I've had so many wonky bits on scans that didn't turn out to be anything that I never even expect a truly "clean" scan anymore. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will just be a little bit of "nothing" for your husband too.
Hugs to you both! AA

So the surgeon says he thinks
So the surgeon says he thinks it's just post-surgical..exacerbated by the dilations. But CEA is still climbing a little at a time - now .8. It's gone up .1 every month since surgery. I'm having a hard time just relaxing and thinking it's nothing.

Hi Jen,
Glad to hear that the scans gave you guys really great results. But why are you asking about peritoneal mets? Did the doctor say that he saw them on a scan at some point? They are usually picked up by a PET/CT scan.
Take care,
Cyn

Just questioning that soft tissue area the scan showed. They say nothing to worry about but id rather she didn't mention it if there wasn't something to worry about.0 -
I know it's hard
not to worry, worry this sounds really good! I wouldn't worry too much about the soft tissue, enjoy the good scan for a while! (I know it's hard to do sometimes) .
So happy for you two!
