Thank Goodness !!!!
I have had cancer, I am more than half blind, my blood pressure is sky high, had 2 by-pass heart surgerys, 2 knee replacements, hip replacement, diabetes, arthritis so bad it takes me 3 hours to get out of bed, can't hear anything less than a jet engine starting up, takes so many meds I am dizzy all the time, can't feel my hands and feet any longer, can't remember if I am 85 or 58, dementia is getting worse everyday, can't remember nothing, can't remember nothing, and can't remember nothing......But thank God I still have my drivers license !!!!!

That made my day
I asked the Dr. about getting into some kind of exercise program and he was all for it. It didn't last long though. I jumped around, twisted, down on my back for a long time, sweated like a horse, pulled a muscle in my shoulder and by the time I got the leotards on the class was over. I gave it up. John

I could go on all day long, but there are a few people on here that do not appreciate those kind of comments. I know who a few of them are and do not want to affend them. I have been told in the past this is no place for those type of comments, because this is a site for serious problems. Most of them do not post any longer, but a couple still do post every so often. I have had comments like this flagged within minutes. They do not realize it's very easy to find out who flagged who.
I have always felt if we can't have a lighter side then whats the use anymore. I am glad you liked the comments and happy I put a smile on your face, if only for a day. John

John,
I am one that appreciates your comments. I am a firm believer that there is a time to be serious and a time for mirth (can't believe I used that word!).
By the way...my plan is to live forever...so far; so good!

John,
Your litany of medical illnesses at the top reminded me of the scene in the original Jaws movie, when the guys are drunk out at sea, sharing injury stories back-and-forth in the boat's cabin.
The captain finally has the winning injury: He opens his shirt, and points at his heart, and says, "Julie -- she broke my heart ! "

I love that you used the word, mirth, and then questioned yourself on it. That statement hit home with me and made me laugh out loud!
Cheers,

Crackin' up!
Kyle and I had a good laugh at your post. Good for you John!
Back in April, after the long misdiagnosing-diagnosing process (which everyone seems to endure) and being immediately sent to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN from Albuquerque, NM. We finally received Kyle's diagnosis of PTCL-NOS. It was like we were both done with crying and leaving the doctor's office in silence. We go down the elevator and are walking to the shuttle.
Kyle then looks at me and says, "Well I am not going to leave here with just cancer.." He walks into the Mayo Clinic gift shop and purchases a sweater.

Michelle, I couldn't help but smile when I read your story. It reminded me of Erma Bombeck. I think most of us here can identify with this quote:
"Seize the moment. Remember all those women on the 'Titanic' who waved off the dessert cart.”

Just wanted to say hi
I think of you Michele and Kyle all the time. I knew you were out there keeping up on the news so I wasn't worried. It's just nice to know you're still hanging in there. But what else are you going to do, right? Thanks for checking in. Becky
