Thanks everyone...ugh...not sure I'm in a rush for results. I guess I'm only in a rush for good news.Did they tell you when to expect them? I know what you mean about only being ready for good results. Bad results on top of the wretched scanxiety is too much.
Some hugs coming your way.

good....but....
So the onc said the Ct scan looked good...but...there is one area of "soft tissue" that she is going to discuss with the surgeon. She thinks its inflammation from the dilation procedures hes had but wants to see what he thinks.
If he agrees then she'll check cea monthly and follow with scans every ?? months. Forgot to ask when next scan will be. If surgeon is concerned then maybe a biopsy.
Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers...I wish there wasn't a "but" tho I fully realize that it could have been much worse!0 -

So you know I cant relax with the "but" on the scan. Been reading a bit about peritoneal mets and trying to figure out how those are found and or diagnosed?I'm curious (sorry for asking!!!!) you said he hasn't had much chemo. since March, why is that??

I'm curious (sorry for asking!!!!) you said he hasn't had much chemo. since March, why is that??
He did folfox and avastin from Sept through March and then stopped to have April surgery. After the surgery the surgeon said he could have the ileo reversal in 6 to 8 weeks....he's still waiting. In the meantime the onc didn't start maintenance chemo since we kept thinking surgery was right around the corner. He had a narrowing and has had 2 dilation procedures so far and the surgeon said he needs 1 or 2 more. Of course the surgeon has been on vacation every other week over the summer and doesn't seem to be in any big rush to get this done. We've tried to explain that our daughter's confirmation is in early Nov and he'd like to be recovered from surgery by then, but they don't feel our sense of urgency. Kind of annoying.
The Onc says since he's been off chemo for so many months that he should not do maintenance (said it's not really maintenance anymore with such a gap in time) and just keep watching. Anxiety...
