Hi All..!! I decided to start a new post... Today was one heck of a day... nice sunshine and all that... as perfect as perfect can be... So we finally got our first practice lap in... but I will digress with a bit of a tease. I have a new look... and I got a LOT of attention all day... many people took my picture but as of now, none are posted anywhere... so sorry to tease you all, but it will happen soon..!!
So, all the Newcomers got their guided lap in first... then the first session.. then we were in the second session. But there was a delay due to two oil spills... we were about 20 minutes late, which meant only one lap.. But we got in a good lap... my rider was pleased. I have some work to do tomorrow, but all simple stuff... nice..! And he said he enjoyed the ride. Reports from pals around the course said my bike sounded spot on and that Mark was going well...
Once practice was over, all the guys were in the tent... the beer was flowing...! Two bikes have some issues but should be fixable by tomorrow's practice. All the guys had smiles and were even more excited.. Nice..!!
A good day for sure... makes it all worth while..!! Tomorrow's practice is the first timed session... we will see how it goes...
Be Well All..!!

Glad the sun came out for you Ron! The weather has improved here too! It sounds like you are getting into the swing of things now, hope the timed session goes well for you today!
You haven't been at the hair dye have you?

Yes, just like life... ups and downs.. yesterday we only made about 11 miles then it had an issue.. time for Dr Ron to perform some surgery.. well maybe just a good giant needle of gooo.. Heh..
All that.. I think I should clarify a coule of things.. for ME, I do not feel like Votriet failed me. I had GREAT results on my Mets. The lung mets mostly shrunk and some dissappeared. My Adrenal Gland met was not seen on that last scan either. So, even though I am no longer on the drug, it worked well in the "Met" department.
I also must add, that my fatigue is still with me, although lessened.. and exercize is allowing me to do more, but I feel like crap at the end of the day... no big deal..! Being on the IOM with my feet being my main transportation, I walk a LOT.. it is just over a mile UP to the Paddock.. yes up what is called Bray Hill. I have walked it every year daily, and rarely had to stop to rest. But yesterday, I had to stop about 4 times for a short rest. True I was carrying items for the racer, but still, I was spent by the time I got there.. booo... And I was dragging all day. BUT, still not complaining, just giving info... I will take it..!! If I can continue like this for many years, I will be a happy man..!
Off to fix the bike now....
Be Well All..!!!!

Hi Ron, It is tough having to push yourself when your energy levels are so low. But you won't let a little thing like fatigue get in your way! you look like you are having a blast. I had a feeling you had been at the hair dye, is this going to be a permanent feature for you Ron?

Amazing what happens when you have a real conversation with people.. So, my rider's wife and I had not spoken much so far. Not sure when it happened this morning.. but the word Cancer came up.. She was mentioning that she still did not know her fund raising "goal" for Cancer research... so you all can imagine our dialogue from there.. And this Sunday there is a race of sorts for Cancer Survivors... guess you know where I will be Sunday.. Amazing to hear the stories.. just like here... but this is a very small island, not a large country.. Yes I gave a donation...
The rest of the day was pretty crappy... but still... I feel good about it all..!
OK so my racer got fixed, sort of.. or should I say partially fixed.. a new issue showed up as it was not running well, and we did not get any laps in tonight.. only 1 more night to qualify..
Be Well All.!

All my fingers and toes crossed for your qualifying Ron! Anyway, come what may, you're having a blast and it certainly sounds as if none of your time over there is being wasted. The very best of luck!!!

I think it is so exciting! Those of us that love motorcycles are in awe. So cool. Motorcycle racers have massive dents in their tanks to accomodate their manhoods. I don't even like the highway anymore. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
