Good news/Bad news

in Head and Neck Cancer #1

Ok, Good news first... Dad had an appt today and the doctor did a scope.  He said that dad's cancerous polyps in the sinus cavity are gone!  We are so thrilled with this news, I feel some relief hearing this!  Thank God!   Please keep him in your prayers as we are still trying to get him eating food now and taking more liquids by mouth!

Bad news= The lady I spoke of with breast cancer that was in ICU...passed this past Saturday a.m. I went to her showing and it was hard.  Please keep her family in your prayers as well.

    Eating takes time.  Things really do change and sometimes a lot of change.  I lived on smoothies for 7 months before “food feel” returned to normal and I could seriously eat.

    Glad to hear the good news about your Dad, just giving him a little more time and things will start getting better and he will be eating well again. So sorry to hear about your friend, will keep her family in prayer.

    Good and bad...

    GREAT to hear about your dad!!  He will start eating and drinking.  It just sort of "happens".  I'm so thankful he is well!!!

     

    So sorry to hear about your friend.  I will keep the family in my prayers.

    So glad to hear about your dad's good news.  My brother had his first bowl of Cream Of Wheat a couple of days ago.  My sister-in-law called me so happy thay you would have thought she won the lottery!  It's the little things that mean so much now.  You're dad will get there, Cherie.  My brother hasn't had any scopes yet.  I kind of wish they would give him one.  I would love to hear some definitive good news.

    I am sorry to hear about your friend.  I went into a store today to drop something off and talked to the owner.  His wife has also been suffering from breast cancer.  I asked him how things were going and he said that they could be doing better.  Then he said that his wife died a couple of days ago.  I just lost it.  I felt so sorry for him.  I don't even know the man.  I assume it is because my feelings are so close to the surface because of my brother.  It is all so sad, isn't it?

    Thanks everyone for the well wishes for dad!  I'm so excited that we hear more great news in the near future.  

     

    Also,  Thx for keeping Mary's family in prayer.  They are all such great ppl, I feel horrible for them.  

     

    Hope everyone is hanging in there! !
