    Thank you, herdizziness.

Thanks a lot for the "sweet" comments about cake and soda.  Reading what you posted, along with other posts, asking for some cake made me just giggle!  I wish there were more happy/funny post and less "I'm right/you're wrong" comments posted.

Whatever makes someone feel a bit in control of their life, let them do it.  What works for one may not work for another, on any level.  Cancer is a crap shoot, you can do everything right and pass on, or just do whatever you want and live for years.  Be happy for now, listen without judgement, and be kind to others.

I wish everyone well, no matter how you seek it.

    Perfect

This post really says more than u realise.   We are all different and react different.   Live lif!   Congrats

I see food I eat it. I have not altered my diet at all since ca with the small exception of alcohol. I figure my liver does not need a handicap so I don't drink but I am a fruitaholoic. The only disease not currently on my cv is ca coming up to 16 yrs clear. Ron.

    Grateful for this discussion board

In June I was diagnosed with rental cancer based on pathology from tumor removed following a routine colonoscopy. A CT scan and endoscopic ultrasound identified two prominent lymph nodes and my case was presented to UCSF tumor board, and their consensus was to immediatelty begin chemoradiation followed by resection. Based on recommendations and suggestions from members on this discussion board, I sought an opinion from Josef Heinz at UCSC. Wonderful practitioner!! He completely disagreed with recommendation from UCSF and said I needed further diagnosis/staging and he would not prescribe chemoradiation at this point. So I had a lymph node biopsy that turned out to be negative. I realize there is always a chance the needle biopsy didn't sample the cancerous tissue, but I am going with Dr. Heinz' recommendation and will now seek a second opinion on extent of surgery, whether to resect or to scrape the margins and will additionally CT to closely watch change in lymph nodes.  Without this discussion board I would be in second week of chemoradiation which might well have been unnecessary.  My gratitude to those of you who gave me welcome advice. You helped me feel in control of my situation which helped me tremendously. Now if only I can get BP under control, which was never a problem until this awful diagnosis.

    G'day Hooley
At the time my surgeon said too aggressive too many lymph nodes ,I'm afraid it will get you . He kept going on about how frightfully aggressive it was . He said another week and he probably would not have got it. At six years he was amazed that it had never spread. I guess some one has to slip between the cracks. All the best to you mate. Just do what you feel is right and no regrets , Ron.

    i started the metabolic revolution

based on exercise and ketosis, so far it and my other therapies have me in a sysetmic chemo free pathway to ned.

free will and debate is wonderful, everyday another metastatic colorectal joins the metabolic. is sugar worth your life ?

its so powerful to beat our sugar addiction, life with health is far more compelling for me, enjoy your cake or soda, its my 47 birthday sunday, a birthday i am not supposed to be here for, i am going home to my family healthy, focused and strong.

no cake for me, the last sugar i had was apple juice during insulin potentiated therapy.

i am sure big pharma owns coke or viceversa, its like a vampire running the blood bank!

again free will, do your homework, why not try sugar free for 12 months like me, you might be overjoyed by your results, like me.
