cause of breathlessness/pain
Got a call from doctor who read my echocardiogram. He said he thiinks he knows why I've been short of breath/pain...it showed some degree of heart failure. I see the heart specialist tomorrow; probable procedure next week. When it rains, it pours!

Well, I'm glad they figured out what was going on...
hopefully the procedure will be something simple, and it will help you to start feeling better. Let us know what they have to say tomorrow!

Very thankful it's called
Very thankful it's called cardiomyopathy, most likely brought on by stress. One area of the heart is weakened, but it is treatable. Having a catheter put thru wrist up to heart, just to double check to make sure there is no heart dz.

Can't imagine why you might be feeling a little stressed these days, Judy! Seriously, though, thank goodness it's something treatable. What will that involve?

Surprise
I had the same surprise last year, had a stent put in, I almost waited too long, they said another few hours and I would have been a goner, the widow maker artery was had been collapsing they put a stent in same day and wah la, all better, even my blood pressure that had been high went down. It's been normal since the stent was put in.
Here's hoping it's a nice easy fix like mine was (they keep you awake when their doing it for some reason, I forgot why) and that you are on to easy breathing and the pain gone away!

Tuesday I will have a catheter thru the arm and up into my heart, to make sure the vessels are clear. I am taking Carvedilol, which should strengthen the weakened part of the heart. I know, what kind of stress could any cancer patient possibly have?lol
