Lung scan
Some of you may remember that in September of 2012 they found a small cancerous nodule in my left lung. They removed it in October 2012, went back for checkup in March 2013 and all seemed well except for a small uncalcified nodule (it was there in 2012), it was not cancerous but they wanted to keep am eye on it given that I had been to the dance a couple of times with C. Well, it's almost time for my 6 month checkup on it, on September 3rd a new scan. Getting antsy. Denis

I'll hold your hand....
and you can hold mine for our upcoming scans. Like you, I'm antsy as hell just like you....(how come we got to get antsy so early? Why not 3 days before we get them?). My money is on good scans for you, my friend. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.....

Hey Denis !
Yes I remember what you've been through. I have one calcified node....and they're still watching that one too, but considered because of the calcification not to be cancerous. But I have other's that at this point and time aren't growing. (non-calcified) I hope and pray things remain stable for you period ! Will be keeping you in my thoughts for a good scan. Please let us know the results. Hugs sent ! Katie

I too have calcifications, on the report the radiologist said it appeared to be a "slow growing granuloma" but you never know do you? The lung cancer was a new primary, not from my throat, I also had a small skin Scc removed and am under watchful waiting for my prostate. Thanks all, will keep you all posted. Denis

Clean head and neck Ct but bad news for lungSkiffin16 said:Stay Positive...
Keep on track as best you can, stay positive.....
Thoughts & Prayers your way,
John
John , I received so much positive info from you when I posted a while back. My husband had squamous cell to the neck muscle originally . The last surgery was L tonsil which they think it originated. Anyway chemo, 7 weeks of radiation at MD Anderson our 1st pet was clear, second clear, last one in May clear, now in August head and neck clean but mass on left lung. They will do biopsy next week and meet with thoracic specialist. Husband is taking it well but I am a basket case. As I remember he also had the same drug regiment as you did . Have you run into anyone that has had it develop in the lung? Frightening that in 3 months this has gone to another area! I had such a time getting back on this site.

I do recall a few that have had mets to the lungs, and currently on CSN.
Must (if memory serves me), have been within the first two years, mostly the first I believe.
Have the definitely Dx it as being cancer...?
You might want to start a new thread, and I'm sure you will have the current survivors going through similar chime in..., just don't want your concerns to go un-noticed by some buried with this thread of Denis.
Thoughts and Prayers your way...
Try to stay calm and positive and do what you need to do to beat this.
