Tillie, you're exactly right about the tall men.  It also seems as though they want a smaller woman to make themselves look even taller. 

Whereas, shorter men absolutely worship us.  ESPECIALLY in heels.

In honor of this conversation, and the fact that the conductor on the train today is 4' 11", I'm going to wear 4-inch heels and watch him MELT.

Regarding the fabulous ThumderChicken.  It gets me from Albuquerque to Santa Fe and back again (for the uninitiated, 120 miles) for $45/month.  It's a standard diesel locomotive that has all the tree huggers in a swivet. <sorry, tree huggers>

Depending on who you ask, it's either the seventh wonder of the world, or the seventh level of hell.

I'm somewhere in between. It's a cheap, convenient, reasonably speedy opportunity for me to misbehave in front of a captive audience.

I like it a lot better when I describe it like that....
