bacteria may set off a chain reaction leading to bowel cancer

Researchers say they have uncovered how bacteria may set off a chain reaction leading to bowel cancer.
Fusobacteria, commonly found in the mouth, cause overactive immune responses and turn on cancer growth genes, two US studies reveal.
Maybe lifestyle can control these risks.

Yoga?
so why don't all dogs and cats die of colon cancer then? Seriously - how do the little fusos make the journey? Not through the stomach certainly ?

Oral pathogens!
If you have gingivitis(bleeding gums upon brushing or flossing) or gum disease(receding gums and bone),
the space between the gums and the roots of the teeth opens up. This is the only place in the entire body where bacteria, viruses, fungi can freely enter your blood steam, which takes them everywhere. At any given moment there are billions of pathogens in the mouth and under the gums. This constant flow of pathogens into the blood stream occupies and drains the immun system, maintaining a constant inflammation state, acidic Ph in the entire body. I don't think that a specific bacteria may cause cancer. I think it's the chronic inflammation process they cause.
The reason your oncologist doesn't want you to have your teeth cleaned during chemo is, because during the cleaning your hygienist would pump tons of pathogens into your blood and your weakened immune system could not fight them off. But the sillies don't tell you to go and get your teeth cleaned and start flossing before your chemo starts. Mine didn't. Good thing that I'm a dentist.
We know for sure that gum disease plays a role in premature births, arthritis, heart disease, diabetes and other degenerative diseases.
So brush and floss people if nothing else to keep your teeth. If you are lazy, just floss the ones you want to keep lol.
