Fox, you are an amazing force to be wreckoned with. I admire your strength courage and fortitude. And of course the medical bills! Holy crow, 300k for one cycle? No wonder the CDN hospital systems don't offer that treatment. I think that's the yearly cancer budget per hospital lol. How many more cycles must you endure? And what kind of treatments are in line afterwards? I find this whole thing so fascinating.
Keep us posted. I enjoy your "Live from the Cookoos nest" reports. Best wishes, many hugs. I'll be cheerleading for you.
We all know that cancer can be a barrel of laughs but who know it was so affordable? That $300k is just for the hospital stay. Can't wait to see the add on charges like drugs and toilet paper. I've done 2 cycles. I have 4-5 weeks off then after scans, maybe 2 more cycles. So, roughly speaking, this could be a $1,000,000. treatment. Pretty expensive for something without a guarantee huh? There are no other plans. Not until failure is detected. Then it will be discussed. Positive thinking. I like the "Cuckoos nest" reference. Right on. Thanks for the support. It means alot rainsandpours.

Glad to see you back Fox! All you need now is a few of those pizzas to build you up. I should have that bill framed and mounted if I were you, Lol!

I thought of framing it. But couldn't get a wall big enough to hang it on. No pizza last night. But a HUGE plate of raviolis'. Getting stronger. Still amazed at the physical toll it took on me. I'm exercising at almost half my usual. Incredible. I need frequent rests. And naps. It is obvious to me why this isn't done at just any cancer center. What a beating I took. Again I ask,"How does everyone else make it seem so much easier? I would have bet that $300k that I would have had an easier time. But in any event, I'm ready to go back in. Knowing what to expect sure does make it somewhat easier.

Fox, if it's true that laughter is the best medicine, then we are all better off having met you! Well, we've kinda met. You are quite an inspiration and funny as hell! I'll continue to follow your journey, all the while praying for your healing, comfort, patience and strength...and yes, your nurses, bless their hearts!! I share your love of bikes, beer and pizza and hope you get to enjoy each of them before you "go back in".
Stay strong!!

Don't we? Save the panic till the end. We cannot waste precious time on negative thoughts. As I've said over and over, "Time worrying is lost forever, and you can't get it back." So we stay positive and enjoy every minute of our lives. Some have bucket lists. The rest of us just live well. Ride on. Beer and pizzas on me. No really. You should see my shirt! Share the Karma Sindy. Fox.

Ron, tomorrow I am riding with some buddies to the Connecticut Brit Jam. All vintage cycles. with strange european bikes thrown in. My favorite bike meet of the year. Then in 2 weeks it is "Rice-o Rama." an all japanese show and swap meet. Great fun. I'm not just a Harley guy. I'll be doing a little 'splaining to the other gear heads. Enjoy that pizza and beer. I know the beer will be good but how is the pizza there? I might have second thoughts on a mutton and potato pie.

You sound like you are regaining your strength and getting back into your stride Fox:) you have a busy schedule lined up:)
I can guarantee you that any pizza you buy over here is not a patch on the US version. Although the mutton, onion and potato pie ie. Shepherds Pie is the best, especially when home made. Won't be much of it around this time of the year though, so Ron can probably escape that treat. lol!

I have went over all the posts..your experience was a lot like Chucks..HDIL2 is tough stuff the lack of sleep was the hardest thing for him..he thankfully did not get thecwonderful psychedelic trip..although we were afraid he was heading there due to his off the wall sense of humor! I am surprised you held it together to give the very real real time updates but shouldn't have been because your a tough one! Waiting for these scans stinks! But I really believe if this works for anyone it will be you! As I said before..you are and have been exactly where you needed to be and am thankful..that Nivolumab got you to this place.
We would have gotten through this without your posts..but you made it easier superman Its alwzys been my belief that heros should get their happy ending..stay tough you got this thing in the bag..sending happy positive thoughts your way!!! And a million hugs

Say what?!
Fox, i did not realize you were doing IL2. I have missed so much while dealing with my treatment. Glad to know you climbed the Mattehorn that is IL-2. you won't regret it; I'd do it all over again. Did you happen to see my spotted, stuffed-elephant? I let him visit all IL2ers. He doesn't talk much, but if you blow at him he'll go away.
