Scan on Monday
I have a CT scan on Monday and am definitely feeling the anxiety. It is like the cancer thoughts that I can for the most part keep under the surface bubble up. I am fortunate in that I will have the results a couple of hours later. This is my third since the surgery in October 2012. The last one (April) showed no change to the 2 spots on my lung that they are watching. I tell people that I am mentally prepared for the worst but hopeful for the best. My BP has been low and pulse rate high this week as well! I would have expected BP to be high. Sending good peaceful deep breathing thoughts your way! Lynn

May or may not apply to your own case, but in case you dont know, approximately 50 % of nodules observed at the time of primary diagnosis are benign. I went through the same as you. Three nodules, deemed benign in the end, but it took 18 months and 4 scans before my uro/onc docs felt safe to rule them out.
if you do worry alot over them, your radiologist and/or a thoracic specialist should be ablte to give you some information about what they most likely are (I know from my own case that there are some factors they use as pinpointers). But dont rely on your onc/uro on this, get it from one of the above.

In case it was not clear, my racer is green with gold number panels... so I have the correct colours. I am in Manchester and my luggage is still in the boot of the car. The first of the gifts have now been delivered, two large bottles of 100% Canadian Maple Syrup. The wine will get delivered in the next few days. The flight over the pond was excellent thanks to the upgrade to business class. I had drinks on my flight with a lot of food. The fun has begun... I also just found out that one of the racer guys missed his early sailing and will be on the same ferry as I. The beer will likely be flowing soon... Everyone take care and be well... those scans will be good.. they MUST be good, you both deserve it..!! I AM 3 weeks away from my next scans.. I am not worried at all...
