Gene Breakthroughs Spark a Revolution in Cancer Treatment

I read this with great interest. A key take away - the patient did her own research, had to persist in her insistance  on certain tests, drugs, etc. Had she rolled over and passively accepted the doctors' initial plan of attack and other resistance, she probably would be dead right now. A quote of her's went something like "Are you trying to save my life, or are you waiting for me to die?"
