NED!! after 4 rounds of Chemo (MMMT)

Following the 4.5 cm lesion found on my mom's liver in the last MRI done 3 weeks ago, we recieved today the whole body PET scan results and it is NED!!!!! and the liver is normal.

God answered to my prayers !! and this week was full of great news, first that my wife gave birth to a wonderful healthy baby boy and my mom's NED results of the PET scan.

I dunno how this lesion appeared suddenly on the liver in the MRI and disappeared in the PET scan but what I know is that my mom is healthy and enjoying NED after 1 year of being diagnosed with MMMT.

Great news that you Mom is NED.  Congratulations on your new healthy son.  Time to. Celebrate and enjoy each day.  In peace and caring.

I was diagnosed just over a year ago.  Had total hysterectomy and follow up with pap smears.  Had CT scan last week that shows some "findings".  A small something about 1.5mm.  Dr said maybe a lymph node - maybe a blood clot...  Ordered a PET scan for 9/4.  A little scary - I think I was stage 1a grade 2 - but the 2 was a very low percentage and no further treatment was needed.  I was surprised by the order for CT scan as I thought follow up was only pap smears every 3 or 6 months.  Has anyone out there had results something like this on a CT scan?

My mom was also diagnosed with MMMT a year ago (last september), the last MRI on 26th of July showed a lesion of 4.5 cm on the liver and the doctor requested a PET scan. The pet scan results were NED. Therefore, not everything that appears in CT or MRI is scary.

I hope the findings in your case are nothing also

Thanks I believe - My dr just called with news on the PET showed 2 areas of concern 1 measured 9.1 and the other 4.5 - I believe that is an SUV score???  He is suspicious of more cancer - but he said it could mean infection.  Now have to have a biopsy.  Anyone else with this situation?
