pro-active instead of re-active

Hey everyone !

Well made the appointment with the onc's at the U.  Rolie also has a re-check with his team for his annual diabetes check the same day.  Killing two birds with one stone so to speak.  Our daughter's will be coming with....because of Rolies vision and our appointments being so close together.....one will stay with him, and the other with me.  Such good kids, we are so lucky ! 

They are planning a biopsy in office the day of my re-check, and of coarse scoping.  We can also go over my tumor profile I had done back months ago.  I think the medical onc. (who is very good) will be going over this with me.  I have 3 alterations breaks in my DNA....very common in ACC patients....but saying this....none that were showing were specific to adcc.  But with so little tracking of this dx....maybe not so.  

I also decided on one of those walkers with a seat in it.  (instead of the chair for now)  And I talked my primary into a PT plan at the clinic near us....to strenghthen my muscles.  I don't think this will make my lungs repair themselves.....but for me it's a quality of life issue.  We'll try to tailor it to specific ideologies for my health issues and needs.  They have awesome machines that are low impact....and I guess I want this for me. 

So, saying this.....I continue to express.....we are our best advocates......and living life as we see fit...when finding ourselves in a position (transitioning) through all of life's little adventures. 

Oh please keep my daughter Jayne in your prayers....she's going through some intense testing on thursday.  I will be with her.  We won't mention the C-word here.....because I won't accept it !  Only good thoughts....only good outcomes !   Hugs to all !   Katie
