No precautions necessary
Good question. We asked our doctor. There are no precautions for our situation. There is a certain time frame following nuclear scans that you aren't supposed to be close to babies, pregnant women, and others. I think it's a matter of a day. I do believe younger childbearing couples have some restrictions using these drugs.
I sincerely hope that there will be some mature answers to your brave question. Thanks. And best wishes.

I had the same feedback when I asked. I am on sutent-nivolumab. Not sure about others. While I also hope for maturer answers, I look forward more to the immature ones

I have a vague recollection! I mean, its been so long . . . errrrr. . .so to speak!
OH YEAH!
Thanks for reminding me to refill my prescription!
Ron, I do hope you don't get too many ill-informed or irresponsible replies to your brave question.
For anyone with a serious interest in learning about this topic, there is a vast amount of information available immediately. Apart from what can be found on CSN's and other forums and in innumerable books, you need look no further than the information that has been laid on free here by the ACS - at least 1180 articles on the broader aspects.
Rather than ask you to be more specific, I'll assume that the main questions you have in mind will be addressed in some of the 179 articles to be found here, onACS, at:
http://www.cancer.org/search/index?QueryText=sexual+precautions
In the third of the listed articles, which contains a lot of valuable material, you'll find the statement:
"Use a condom during sex. The drugs can be found in semen and vaginal secretions."
If you have questions that you can't discover the answer to, please bring them on so that we can all help search for them.
(Good luck, by the way and I'm sorry to hear of your sad experience, which just shows that not everyone can handle living with cancer.)

what is it with the splitting, Ron?
I wish I could provide profound and/or mature advice, but it's not going to happen.
Ron, my significant other/guy I almost made the mistake of marrying headed for the hills as soon as he heard the word Cancer as well.
I wish I had known that that was all it would take to get rid of him.
I pray for you every day and wish that I had your strength, courage and wisdom.
If you're ever in New Mexico and want to meet an amazon with one kidney....

Oh my... OK, so thanks all... and especially to TW..!! I was a bit wondering if even a condom would be safe...? And all that aside.. I am most happy to learn early on that the last gal would run... After all it takes a very strong person for the single folks here.. Those that have a S.O. that are staying put are the lucky ones..!
And Eims.. I doubt there are many (if any) women on the IOM interested in me... they all want the boy racer types..! Oh yes.. Eims.. that tattoo looks so tiny..
