Becky,
Hopefully you have a good recovery from the surgery! Start to believe in yourself that you will be one of the 30%-40% living in 5 years!
Thanks for your prayers! This cancer sucks. Things could be tough sometimes. My husband has been in lots of pains and lost weights and appetite.
Have you got your appetite back?
Praying and wishing you all the best!

Thank you for theJenny,
Thank you for the support, and I hope your husband is right up there with me, with many many more years. I do have some of my appetite back, but my stomach hurts sometimes. I do not know if I eat too much at one time, or if it is because my stomach is stretching. I eat mostly at night, that is when my hunger kicks in. I also have pains in my back, and do not know what causes that. I have only lost 8 lbs so far. But I always was a little person, not weighing more than 110 lbs. I hope your husband starts feeling better, and I will continue to keep you all in my prayers.

Earlier this year I found my father had cancer and it wasn't until recently that the doctors were able to locate the tumor in his stomach. When I first learned about all of this it was a very hard pill to swallow, because I saw the struggle that he went through. As being a woman of faith I learned to rely heavily on God and I learned to put total trust in the doctors and the others that were facilitating in his care. He struggled in the beginning and it was because of the doctor that has been caring for him since his treatment began that has given him hope and the ability to fight this and to overcome each challenge that is placed in his way. I have learned to put total trust in God, and to leave everything in His Hands because I know that He ultimately has the final say.
