This is in response to your post on another thread.
Welcome back and I am very happy to hear that you're NED and doing well. You are the definition of "survivor".
I just can't get over what you wrote about your husband. Unbelievable! How can someone be so selfish and self-absorbed after everything you went through with your health and everything you have done for his problems?! I don't know if you guys want to try counselling and I am so sorry that you have to deal with his BS.
We are always here for you Leesa

Alexandra,
He refuses to goAlexandra,
He refuses to go to counseling. He says he "understands" cancer (his mom had breast cancer) and how the cancer patient feels. He seems to think that I should have been there for him while he was dealing with my illness. I tried, I did everything within my power. I got him to go to a doctor when I was first diagnosed. The doc diagnosed him with depression and anxiety and prescribed appropriate meds. He went off of them. Now, he's just "not happy." DUH!
Thanks for your kindness. I've always found support on this board, and I hope that my cancer story gives other women hope.

You have given hope and inspiration to countless women. No one "understands" how a cancer patient feels unless they had to face the diagnosis themselves.
If my husband of 20 years pulled something like that, he would be shaped like my rear bumper and being "not happy" would be the least of the poor loser's problems.

As if you didn't have enough to deal with! Dare I say it, but you are probably better off without such a negative person in your life. I know that that doesn't really help in the short term, but I so hope it works out that way for you in the long term. Keep your family and friends close and try to stay positive. You need all your energy to fight this disease! Please let us know how you are doing.
All the best,
Susan
