Clean and Green
Hi All
Had the PET Scan Thursday morning and asked them when I could call the doc to get the results and they told me he would have them in a few hours but I should wait until yesterday. I dashed from that area of the hospital to the coffee shop next door for my long awaited coffee. I had to rid my mind of the scanxiety so Katie and I went to Harrah’s casino where I met up with my youngest brother so we could put on a show at the crap table. I walked away with over $700 of their money so I found a temporary cure for scanxiety. Yesterday morning I called the doc’s office at 8:30 and the receptionist told me they had the results and the Physician’s Assistant would call me midafternoon after she was done seeing patients with the Doctor. I told her that she would have to leave me a message because I had contract negotiations with two companies from 1:00 PM until well after 6:00. I was with the first company when my cell phone vibrated so a few minutes later while one of my guys was trying to convince the company we needed another personal day I checked the message that I knew was from the Doctor’s office because of the area code. She said all clear no sign of reoccurrence. I holstered my phone and it must have been obvious with a huge change in my demeanor and the Operations Manager asked if I just received some good news. I replied with yep, I just found out I’m going to be a Dad again. Their side of the table looked at me kind of puzzled while one of them said congratulations. I said SHHHHHHH you guys can’t tell anyone, my wife doesn’t know about it. Then I told them just kidding I received the all clear from test results. We didn’t get the additional personal day but frankly Scarlet, well you know the rest.
All I have to do is get through what I hope will be a half day at the office and then I am off to the beach for a week with my Lady Katie, two of the kids and their youngens. You are all invited to come join the grandkids who have plans on burying my **** in the sand. Like I said previously, I will be recognizable, I will be the one grinning from ear to ear. Life is good
Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers.
Enjoy today.................it's practice for tomorrow

Thanks to my CSN family
Thank you all for your kind words.
Roar………..The other week two of the grandkids that I will be with at the shore were here and they had a pair of dice so I was showing them how to play craps. The youngest Calliegh she just turned five rolled a lot of 11’s called a “YO” in craps. I had both of them running around the living room yelling “YO” as the wife rolled her eyes. They also enjoyed yelling Paps (that would be me) just crapped out (I rolled a friggin 7) So to answer your question today I’m feeling a “YO” and it pays 11 to 1.
John………….I couldn’t agree more. Except they don’t allow alcohol on the beach in Ocean City so I have to take a can of 7up and take two big swigs and put a couple of shots of Jameson in. I call the drink “buzz on the beach”. Life is good
Enjoy the day

Jeff and John,
When I read your posts it reminded me of a something that happened on the water many years ago I have to share. Putting the liquor in something else to disquise it triggered this....
I had a great little fishing boat (since sold it) that I fished on for many years. A 14' Grumman that I added seats, rod holders, downrigers etc. to. It was great for rivers and lakes. I had an 8hp Johnson. electric motor, downriggers, fish finder etc....
Anyway. One early May morning my friend Craig and I were out on the Delaware River at New Hope/Lambertville fishing for American Shad. The river was very crowded that morning with upwards of 30+ boats anchored in various spots. We had been out since dawn and had a few shad on the stringer and were waiting for more to hit the lines we had out. While we were waiting we were hitting the cooler and drinking the Sea Breezes we made before hitting the water. It looks like Pink Grapefruit juice so we mixed it up (heavy on the vodka) and put it in Minute Maid Pink Grapefruit Juice bottles.
Well, about 9am, the State Police came down and launched their Aquatic Unit. They started below us and were working their way upstream. By 9am, we were pretty buzzed and that's not a good thing with the police checking every boat. They finally get to us... I was in the back of the boat and my friend was in the front. The pull up next to us and ask who owns the boat. I stand up and take out the registration, my ID etc. and hand it to the two officers. I show him our flotation devices, fire extinquisher and such that are required. Problem is, I'm wasted and trying to be cool....
The one officer asked how our luck has been and I show him the two shad on our stringer. He then asked "Whatcha got in the cooler?" My heart is now racing. So my friend opens it and says... "Breakfast!" They saw a couple of sandwiches and several bottles of Minute Maid. No worries... Then the other officer says... and I kid you not... "So ummm... how big's your Johnson?" (there's a 15hp limit on the river there) I'm thinking "He didn't just ask me how big my Johnson was did he?" Well, right away, my mind was in the gutter and a plethora of off handed comebacks went racing through my mind. My friend Craig is in the front of the boat with his face in his hands and I could see his shoulders shaking because he's trying not to laugh out loud! So I answered "Ohhhh.... it's an 8"All of a sudden my friend couldn't contain himself and let out a laugh into his hands... The officers looked at him and then at me (by that time I had a big Sh** faced grin on my face) and then at each other as they realized what was said and why we were laughing. They handed my ID and such back to me and said "You gentlemen have a nice day". All I could mutter through my now hysterical laughter was "Thanks" as they pulled away and motored to the next boat. We both came close to peeing our pants from laughing so hard!
Moral of the story.... don't ever ask a boater how big his Johnson is! Especially when he's had a few!"T"
