Three days before my daughter's wedding, and guess what? SHINGLES!
So far, just some minor itching and discomfort. They're going to be calling me in some medicine later this afternoon.
They're on the right side, along my waist. Over night a few more came up on my stomach.
Well, nothing's stopping me from enjoying my daughter's wedding Friday night.

Oh no!!
Of all times to get shingles! I've never had shingles myself but am hoping that the medicine does the trick for you. Kinda sounds like you have a mild case, I'm hoping. Take good care of yourself between now and Friday, and I know you'll enjoy the happy event.

WHAT TIMING!
So sorry, Carla. The timing sure stinks, although NO time is a good time to get shingles. I know they are painful. But you sure sound determined to enjoy your daughter's wedding, and I hope you do! Have a wonderful time, and I hope you feel better soon!

Shingles!
Your daughter's wedding will be beautiful and you will have a wonderful time as you have coped with the" big C" and after that most other things fade into insignificence! I have heard that there is a medication that if taken early enough can reduce the effect of shingles. I am hoping that the medication you are getting will be that one.
Wishing you very best wishes and a perfect day filled with lots of happiness and laughter. A huge Congratulations to the Mother-of -the-bride!

I VERY much enjoyed the wedding. Thankfully, the shingles were VERY mild. Still some minor discomfort.

Shingles can be nasty. My 33-year-old daugther was hospitalized for 5 days with an awful case, but is now home and recovering well. Don't know if she will get the hearing back in the right ear, as the shingles affected her face and head. So glad that your case was minimal.
