I finished radiation treatments finally!
I am done! Officially done! I got my diploma, rang the bell and the techs made a cake for me! It was so sweet of them to do that for me.
My husband and I had brought some cookies for all of them, so, we ate some of those too.
I am burnt, tired and sore, but, I made it!
It will be so wonderful to not have to go anymore!
One happy rad grad,
Cheryl

Bells and Cake...
For Cheryl,
Kudos on finishing radiation. How things have changed and what a nice way for the treatment to end with bells and a cake. I know when I finished radiation, I just walked out, glad the daily drive (Radiation Center was 1 hour away from whre I lived) was over. There certainly wasn't any cake or bells but I think it is very nice to have.
I did meet in the waiting room some of very nice people. We were together for most of the 7 weeks I was there. I found the radiation department to be the most efficient place (time wise) of any place I ever went. They were always on time.
Best wishes to you,
Doris

Congratulations!
Cheryl, so happy for you to be finished with radiation! It is a huge load off your mind, time and energy. I finished a week ago and I think you will probably be as surprised as I am with how fast your skin starts to recover! I can actually wear a bra now!! Amazing how the human body can repair itself after such trauma. Don't know about you, but I will REALLY be glad when my energy level is back to normal. For me that seems to be coming along a lot slower than the skin recovery. Best to you in your recovery.
