in Head and Neck Cancer #1

Jim has a place on his lip that has to looked at immediately.

I can only say 1) I am not a doctor but 2) it looks suspiciously like the some of the things we have been warned to watch for.

Asking for prayers.

*And I don't know about anyone else but I can't adjust the font size today.

    you are so right, it is not cancer until it has been biopsied and told to the survivor

    your right a second time, needs to be looked at immediately..... when in doubt have it checked out

    prayers on the way and will be keeping eye out that your wrong

    You are a good student :)....

    it ain't cancer till somebody says it is.....hard one to wrap the mind around since intellectually it's the absolute truth, emotionally tho, it's tough to not finding yourself creeping the wrong direction.  You must have captured that lesson....GOOD!!!

    Still will be tucking Jim into my pocket....

    next logical step

    Today we saw Jim's ENT who has scheduled surgery next Monday to remove whatever it is.  Cancer or not, it can't stay according to the doctor.

    Will let you know what we find out.

    it's still not cancer till somebody says it is....and now that will be the pathologist.  I'm sending positive thoughts....I feel bad that he has to go through another scare.

    It’s hard to keep positive when we live in a negative world and all we can do is to pray. But I am glad that our God hears the prayer of his positive children. Keeping you both in my prayers.

    Jim had surgery Monday to remove a mass from his lower lip.

    Squamous cell carcinoma - clean margins.  The ENT is recommending no further treatment at this time but I am recommending we call the oncologist and see what she says.

    Requesting prayers that it hasn't spread via the blood or lymphatic systems.
