Sleepless in NY
I go in for my double hernia operation 6 am tomorrow morning. Its been a tough week - gout acted up for the first time in 15 years and I couldn't walk, although they now have a pill that cuts right through all the inflammation and that's almost a done deal. Just a little antsy about going under the knife again.they tell me it's going to be painfull and its a lot more complicated than my partial neck dissection . With all the work wifey has had me doing around the house in preparation for our daughters wedding the hernia is hurting like the dickens. My next pet scan is sometime end of August or beginning of September hospital has not confirmed yet . I just wanted to updated all my fellow survivors . I will give a little update o Saturday as they tell me I will be out of it for much of the day tomorrow. I will be haveing the surgery where my wife is a critical care nurse same hospital as my chemo/ radiation ( Montifiore ) so I feel I am in good hands, and naturally my mom flew in from Florida so she could be by my side like she was during my cancer treatment. Se actually had other things to do like pick a dress for my Daughters wedding , shower etc but it worked out nice. I am looking forward to putting all this behind me so I can Start training hopefully by the end of August . Thanks for listening anyone and everyone and if you can remember please ask the big guy to help me out a little.
talk to you warriors soon,
Ralph

Praying
Dear Ralph, The best of luck to you tomorrow. I am not familiar with what you went through with your cancer, but you made it, so the warrior you are. If you are strong enough to endure that, you can do this, no problem! It will be my pleasure to speak a prayer in your behalf. God's peace to you, my friend.
