Good to know that I look great. Actually feel quite good as well. Its very odd considering how little healthy liver I have left. Must be all the liver detox therapies. Working hard to stay this way. Its a full time job.

We are glad things are going well for you Pete! I love reading the updates.
We leave tonight for California. Tuesday is preop and all tests. Friday is surgery and HIPEC, from the best medical in the USA, UCSD Moore's Cancer Center. Because they are a research hospital they can do treatments not available in other hospitals. I am with you, the standard treatments are not good enough.
Best Always, mike

your on the prayer list, mate.
are you doing preop cimetidine, heaps of coriolous, shitake.
for what its worth ask the surgeon to cut an save tumour samples for doctor chang in new york, get some shiiit hot vaccines made out of the surgery.
alas I may do hipec if my recurrence 2 does not respond to the german kitchen sink approach.
do some coffee enemas in the hospital, teach the nurses a few tricks, its should get a few smiles.
consider the retention enemas with probiotics a good one. the surgery decimates your gut bacteria. alot of preop planning for hipec. the lastest hipec trial is being done out of a german hospital, some about the style of hipec delivery post surgery.
I would seriously look at strategies to boost liver detox post surgery, google our standard lef supplements, I think you already have done this.
a heavy mushroom program is an equally good liver detox, than even good old milk thistle.
hang in their trooper, see you on the other side, hopefully in the 23rd century.
hugs always,
pete
ps thanks for replying, its fun being the csn outcast

Keeping a big enough sample is a very good idea. You need about 1cm3 for a single dendritic cell priming. It may give you another option down the road.
One thing to watch out for. Typically samples are put into parafin. This is ok for doing generic testing etc., but its useless for immunotherapy. For this you need the cells to be kept alive, eg: frozen.

Pete,
Are there any benefit of doing local hyperthermia? My husband has multiple mets in liver, lungs and a few in bones. I think he wouldn't be able to tolerate whole - body hyperthermia.
He is on Folfiri, Avastin & Zometa treatment now and I've heard that hyperthermia inhances the chemo unti-tumor kill.
Cheers,
Emma

Local hyperthermia is used when you have say mets in one location like the liver or lungs etc. Whole body is preferrable if there are mets in multiple locations.

i have done 30 locals and 8 full bodies, its worth a consult with a doctor exoetienced with ht. using ht with chemo, immunothetapies delivers the best benefit i believe doing both beneficial. the higher temp from local radiowaves at 46 degrees for an hour with ozone or ndv is good. the other week i did fullbody with oxaliplatin. time will tell for me.
goodluck. i found sauna therapy a good intro to full body ht, i cope ok many dont, itsnot a one off miracle, i plan on some form of ht every week, but i am obsessive in the extreme and a touuch focused or desperate, these thetapies have to work or i am up the creek without a paddle.
i have faith in these therapies, so few use them, in fact australias first heckel
sits largely unused in hobart, i was the first patient, an achievement i am proud of, it could treat 10 patients a week, potentialy offering reduced tumour burden, increased immune function, i am so frustrated by waste oppotunity, of wasted life
hugs,
pete

My husband and I've been following your tough journey for a month or so and amazed by your courage and energy. Hope those therapies will work for you eventually, our thoughts with you guys!
As to ht, It's a good idea to start with sauna therapy first to see how my husband tolerates it.
Much love,
Emma

I personally think that hot baths when fully submerged in hot water is a much better preparation for hyperthermia. I find typical saunas harder to tolerate than the hypertherma treatment itself.

you need to watch vaso dilation, do some googling on hot bath therapy, maybe ren can write it up.
i got my core to 39.3 in a super hot unoleasant bath, could barely get from bath to heckel test without nurses support.
i suspect it possible to nobilise lymphocytes from spleen and bone marrow, but need to confirm somehow, no net here, just phone.
be careful, watch pulse, bp, core temp. 38 is high enoufh and safer to boost immune.
with professional ht, they do the full ecg which i think essential unless you are really well and experienced.
