I met NED again!!
It's been a year since I finished rads, and of course had many scopes and scans but today was a milestone for me. Been kind of worried, as my voice more "iffy" but so far, so good!! The Dr. says no more scans unless something else develops, which kind of worries me but guess with my CA it will show visibly/vocally before the scan will show. I think maybe the MRI'S are for checking metastases, in my particular situation!
I read these boards every day and you all are my heroes/heroines!!! I don't contribute much as my DX was so miniscule compared to most of yours, but I do feel a bond with you all as I see your committment to beating the "beast" and helping others who are fighting it as well.
Keep fighting and believe!

Mrs. Sarge,
Congratulations on your 1-year milestone, clean & clear.
My voice is still (sometimes iffy) coming along. Drive-up windows are a real treat.
Keep healing,
Matt
Matt.....Oh yes....I remember driving up to a drive through because I had forgotten my bottle of water. I needed something liquid for my dry throat! Well, I couldn't get enough volume out to order and had to drive away. That was one day I almost cried, feeling sorry for myself! I know I could have went inside but by that time I was mortified and did go in somewhere else!

Wonderful news !
Congrads on the NED ! I giggled at Matt's drive up comment. The phone is still a real treat for me also. I just explain I need to talk slower....and have to repeat myself a few times. Had social security on the line the other day trying to pick a part D carrier....trying to go through my med list and having the poor kid understand me was a hoot ! Again great news ! Hugs sent !
