Thank you. From your lips to God's ears. I am trying to stay positive, but for the first time in my life, I am fighting anxiety. Thanks for the positive thoughts and prayers. Those thoughts are not facts! Something weird is going on, but that is why it's being investigated. No one knows as yet what is going on! So hold on to that, go & breathe in the summer air, watch the workd go by. Use meditation and use destraction (even Candy Crush if that floats your boat), & this too will pass. Thinking about you and wishing you the best. Liz

I am trying to get everything done in case the news is bad. By the way, what is candy crush? That made me smile.0 -

I believe Candy Crush is a game, maybe for the Ipad? If you've got an Ipad (and remembering how Angry Birds helped keep your mind off things) also try CrossMe Color and Fairway HD - they're lots of fun and may help keep the mind busy and away from the dark thoughts.
All my best,
Rose

Thanks for the game tips! Who would think a baby boomer like myself would find such solace in computer games. I do need the distraction they provide! I will give those games a try! I am going to have some long days at the hospital next week.0 -

Isn't it strange reflecting on life, at times we thought were so very stressful. Comparatively, those times were a minor irritation! And breathe! In.......out, different breaths, different depths. I have a prearranged appointment with oncologist tomorrow. My scan was last Friday. Yesterday her secretary phoned to say onc wanted to see me tomorrow. 'Oh! You have an appointment already! ' Me.....'is there something wrong with my scan?'. Sec 'No'. The panic sets in. Despite my overt calm, I am having paalpitations, They just don't think do they? We hold onto every word......

Yes, cancer certainly puts things in perspective. We now know what matters. For me, all that matters is the people that we have loved. Our children, families, dear friends. You are in my thoughts. Stay calm and steady. All will be well, my mantra.0 -

Sorry for the delay in respondingd but I was on vacation. I no longer have mets to the liver. Chemo killed the tumor in my liver but left a "spot" on scans. I choose the aggressive approach and had a liver resection to remove the dead tumor. I have been cancer free almost 2 years. As many of you know, I also lost my mother and husband during treatment and am raising grandchildren. I had many, many people praying for me and the good Lord answered those prayers. I feel like a walking miracle that I am still here and am a proud example of the power of prayer. I will pray for you.

Dear Mary,
I grew up in a communist country and there they never allowed any religion or spirituality. Plus the school system is all about science, reason and proof.
However in the last couple of years way before my cancer diagnosis I started moving closer to God. I'm still just slowly and carefully opening my heart to him, but at least I'm on my way.
I believe in good and the well-wishes and prayers of good people around you (and by the way the effect of this was scientifically proven.)
So I wish you all the best and I offer all the support I can give.
