Mary Ann's goodbye
Mary Ann wrote much of he own eulogy. Here is what she had to say about this group: "Having cancer is dreadful, but I sure can say I’ve met the very best people through Chester (that's what I called my cancer). I want to thank my cohorts from the Cancer Survivors Network. They are a wonderful group of women. We share the same affliction, uterine papillary serous carcinoma, but we don’t let it control our lives. They provided great support. Some of them are now waiting for me in heaven. I have been battling cancer for close to five years with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, prayer, meditation, vitamins, herbs, diet, acupuncture, visualization and massage. I have been in the valley of the shadow contemplating my death, but mostly contemplating and living my wonderful life. To be alive in this world is a gift beyond price and perhaps beyond comprehension. My wish is that each of you take time in your busy lives to help others, to enjoy your friends and family, and to be good to yourselves. The best part of life is not just surviving, but thriving with passion and compassion and humor and style and generosity and kindness."

Thanks Rudy~
As I read your posting tears came to my eyes....your beautiful wife endured an awful lot. In the end she knew how to enjoy life with passion and compassion.
No one truly understands all the ups/downs with a cancer diagnosis, as to why the women on this site are such a "sister" like group. Always here for each other and I love them all.
Mary Ann will always have a "special" place in my heart and I will NEVER FORGET HER KINDNESS AND HANDHOLDING SHE GAVE ME OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS.
Peace to all~
