Checking in :)
Well it feels like its been about 3942938742634 days since this has all started. Haha. However, time is flying by as Kyle has round 3 next week!
Carie, Jim and Becky. You all are such good people. It truly brought the BIGGEST smile to my face just to see that you all simply remembered Kyle's wish to go to a baseball game for hotdog day. Haha. If one thing this cancer has taught me is how humanity can be so truly beautiful. I appreciate all your sincerity and thoughtfulness, more than you people will ever know.
Kyle is doing well. He has his good days and his bad days. Thank goodness, his good days seem to be more apparent lately than the bad ones. Aside, the ER visit after his first day of chemo. The Cardiologist's say that he has normal sinus tachycardia and tends to sit in the 105-115 BPM region. He has been monitored for a month now and we visit with his Cardiologist in the next two weeks to out rule SVT (Supraventricular Tachycardia).
Other than that, he seems to be responding well to chemo. He lost his hair about two weeks ago and he actually has a very nicely shaped head. Hehe. Thank goodness and knock on wood (knock-knock) we have not had any cases of nausea or vomiting. Yay! Actually, he did last week have severe case constipation that lead to excruciating abdomen-pelvic region pain. In which, they rushed him for an immediate CT scan to make sure it was not kidney stones or an appendicitis considering his WBCs count of 1.2. We also were just really worried because it did include testicular pain... Which is scary, because we both hope in the future to have children. Thankfully again, nothing worrisome just severe constipation related to the vincristine. So they send us home with a year supply of Miralax sitting on our counter here. Haha. Also, with the amount of medications Kyle is on and we have accumulated in, I feel like we have our own pharmacy here! Haha.
As for 50-cent hotdog night, that is still on the agenda. Yay! He has a really good appetite still (and forever it doesn't go away). Maybe due to the Prednisone, as this boy loves to plan out his meals for the week when he is popping those 100mg. Hahaha. No indications of mouth sores as well, which is nice. Now writing everything out, everything really is going well. I try my best not to complain or look for a reason as to why this is happening. Luckily, we have such amazing families and friends that are unconditionally supportive.
Sometimes, we both really do forget that Kyle has cancer. Sometimes, it just seems so surreal.
I firmly believe though, that God is carrying us both because the strength to push forward, is so relentless.
This is Kyle a week ago, he still has his baby blues and smiling.

Howdy!
Great to hear from you two. He looks great and that's always a good sign! You will be done in no time. Regarding consitpation, it helped me to start taking the senokot early - a day or so before treatment started. It doesn't compare to bone marrow biopsy but it is certainly an uncomfortable feeling . Maybe more fiber around and during treatment time and lots of fluids will help?
In that vein, "You GO, Kyle!"
Hugs - Jim

We are so happy. It really sounds like you have settled in to your ordeal. The constipation thing wasn't fun but at least it's over. I sure hope everything goes ok with the heart problems and that it doesn't become another issue for you. I love hearing that you forget Kyle has cancer sometimes. That is how we feel too. It's easy when you feel good and no effects which is so far Bill's case, but know Kyle is still in the middle of everything so you both have a wonderful attitude. Thank goodness for such a supportive family and friends. That is a real blessing. Some on here don't have that and it has to be very difficult for them. I remember Bill's first outing when he could drive again. He was up at 5:00 and gone to the biggest breakfast place in town. So glad prednisone days are over. Have a great baseball day. Is it MLB? Tell Kyle I am 3rd place and holding in fantasy (those boys don't know who they are dealing with)
Keep taking care of each other, Becky

Hi Michelle
It is very good to hear from you and to see Kyle smiling. He may have lost his hair, but he still has great eyebrows and lashes. I am so happy that you are feeling better about dealing with Kyle's lymphoma. I remember your first frantic post so well. Third chemo already--that's great. How many does he have scheduled? I hope the miralax does the trick--nobody wants to go through that on top of everything else.
Love and hugs to you both,
Rocquie

It is interesting to see how constipation can be so "ouch!" Haha, as Kyle portrayed. However, it seems like the Miralax is doing its job, as the pain has subsided.
I do agree though Jim, more fiber!
On to, round 3!

I am happy that we are in a better state in dealing with this cancer shan-agains as well.
Kyle is undergoingn 6 rounds of CHOP-R. Following with an autologus stem cell transplant. So we still have somewhat of a way yet, we are getting there. In time. Time heals all.
