in Anal Cancer #1

I heard someone say for lung cancer radiation they would take a big spoonful of honey to protect esophagus.  I wonder if the vaginal area and the anus was coated with honey would it still burn as much.

    I would absolutely not do that! I guess you should ask your doctors.

    I agree with Marynb--I would NOT do that!  If honey intensified the burning, it would horrible.

    I was just wondering.  I know the burns were so bad that I would hesitate to do it again.  Can't help but think about a solution that would make this treatment easier on the patient.  Thanks for chiming in.  Maybe someone will be prompted to think further on this.
