Recurrence for stage 1a clear cell

I was just diagnosed with Stage 1a Grade 3 clear cell carcinoma. The oncologist recommended 6 rounds of Chemo even though the cancer was confined to one ovary. Has anyone experienced recurrence with stage 1a?  Did you have chemo? Thanks!!

    SORRY FOR YOUR RECURRANCE

    I had Stage 1C, Lisia.  First in 2000, and recurrance in 2006.  I had chemo both times.  I'm sure someone else here on the board can offer some personal experience for 1a.

    Stage 1a

      I had stage 1 a last year. At first the doctor told me that I would not need chemo and then after talking to other doctors he changes his mind saying that  it could be hiding in other places . I had six sessions  ending in August. Now I am really cancer free. The chemo was hard but I guess that it was worth it. Still having some after effects. Mu doctor told me he was not there to make me happy but to make me cancer free. Actually I put a lot of trust in him.. Let us know how things turn out.

      I had six treatments of carbo/taxol.  Be glad to answer any question that you might have.
