3.5 years and counting
I have an anniversary coming up and thought I would post some of what has been going on in my life. I go in for my check up on Tuesday. It will be 3.5 years to the day of the dreaded biopsy. My wife created this account and was an all around life saver during this tough time. I hope to have another good check up. My "new normal" is better in some ways not so good in others. I keep looking at this site and see far too many new names and still a few of the ones that were here when I started looking at the site. I guess this site is a touchstone for me. If I'm feeling down I can look and remember some of the difficult times (okay awful). When I look at the site when feeling well I put out some thoughts to universal good (pray) for those of you going through the rough stuff. It does get better and that is the hope I have hung onto. I'm sad when it doesn’t improve some of us. My heart still races when I think of cancer. Not so much because of the cancer as the treatment. Wish me luck on another good check up and think positive thoughts for us all. Thanks for being here.
Peace,
Mark

Update on the Doctors visit
Everything looks great and at this point. I will go back once a year unless I think something is up. I like to hear no problems (i.e., NED). They are watching my thyroid (a nodule) and there is no change in the last three years. Thanks for all the positive thoughts and I will keep coming back for your inspiration.
It does get better!
Peace,
Mark
