Hair today, gone tomorrow

Hair is gone, but we expected that.  I am slowly getting my strength back.  I do not believe this is all chemo related as I was having lots of nausea, lack of appetite and heartburn before I started chemo.

Great news is that my WBC is 6.3 and my Hct is 42-that was awesome blood that I received!

Tomorrow, I start back on steroids and then chemo Thursday.  This time neulasta so, hopefully, I will behave myself and stay away from the hospital. 

Work is on hold until we see how I do after this round.  Keep your fingers crossed that I will kick butt!!! (and not have butt kicked...Lol).

    just remember
    the sunblock! I have gone out on my patio and realize I forgot it and end up with a pink head! I hope this chemo is a lot easier than the last infusion. I wil be rooting for you kick butt is right.

    You have a beautiful shaped head. Do you take Claritin when you get Neulasta? I found it made the bone pain manageable. Chemo please kick only cancers' butt. Strength and good vibes to you. jojo2

    I will be sure and take the claritin.  When do you take it?  Right before neulasta?

    I hope this next round is uneventful and cancer has a sore backside. You had such a awful time the first round so you deserve an easy go of it. By the way I think you look absolutely beautiful. Love Surf

    Dear CC,

    I hope that all goes smoothly for you tomorrow.  That is quite a come back on WBC, a lot better than were mine are.  My iron has somewhat recovered but still low (out of range) as is my Hct.  I got my treatment, so one down on this cycle.

    Sorry about your hair but as you said, it was expected.  I no longer care, I just plop a hat on when I go out and wear a scarf in the house.   It is still rather chilly (50 degrees) up in my neck of the wood with rain predicted for the holiday weekend.  Can complain but little can be done about the weather either.

    Sending positive thoughts for tomorrow.

    Thanks for all of the well wishes!   I am nervous about the chemo but I am not about to stop fighting.  I am always preaching adherence/compliance...Lol.  Sometimes, easier said than done, but I will do it!!!  Thank you for being there, my friends.  I know I will feel you all tomorrow.

    Having had the pleasure of meeting you one on one - I know what a beautiful woman you are - both inside and out.  Hair today, gone tomorrow - no kidding.  No matter how much we try, there may be a point when we cry.  Please remember 1 thing for me,  your bald head is a sign of VALOR! This may not help, or make this situation any easier, but it is the TRUTH!

    • sunscreen a must -- protect your ears as well
