Needing the pink bus for Monday:)
Well I am having the VATS on my left lung with some node removal on Monday....He said he wasnt sure how many nodes, he would decide once he's in there...I will have to stay at least one night and he said it could be up to three, I hate staying in the hospital. Really need the pink bus:) Thanks to you all!!!!

Pink Bus
Hi Patti,
I will be there for sure!! I am sure we can park the bus in the parking lot while we wait for you. No worries. There is not a policeman in the world who would give a pink bus a ticket. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,
Ginny

Of Course I wil BE There!
Of course, I will be there on the pink bus for you Patti. I wish I could in reality go visit you. However, you won't feel up to company, not the first night. I had a VATS also. I did remain overnight and expected to stay another day. I did manage to get up and use the bathroom on my own as soon as I was taken to my room. Though they had to disconnect the pump that was draining the pleural effusion each time I did get up. It is good for the circulation to move up and about right way.
The next day, I was ready to go home. No one likes hospital stays. I was in one, 3 weeks ago, for four night, as soon as they started me back on oral pills, I was out of there. I wanted my own home, my own bed and not to be waken up every 3 hours.
However, if they keep you, it is because you really need to be there. I will bring some lobster rolls and pink napkins, so when you get out, you can bring them home for lunch.
Wishinig you the best of luck on Monday. Truly, a VATS isn't to bad a surgical procedure.

Thanks ladies:) Thanks Doris for calming me down through your knowledge:) My head and neck surgeon just called, she's going to do her second surgery on me immediately after the VATS.....Well better to get it all done at the same time. But now I'm going to be under for six hours instead of three. I will have drains for that one too coming out of both sides of my neck boy wont I be a sight!!!!

Praying for you Patti. I hope you don't have to stay long in the hospital and can go home soon. Since we might be there for awhile, I better bring something that will fill our tummies. Maybe spaghetti and meatballs with a fresh garden salad and garlic bread.

It will be a long surgery and I hope he'll get as many nodes out as he can. Keeping all crossed for you!
Good luck, Carmen
Patti, that is a very long surgery. Every pink sister will be there, praying for you and surrounding you with love. I wish I could give you more than just words, prayers and cyber hugs, but since that is all I can, I hope you know they are sent with love.
The pink bus, full of your pink sisters, will be there for as long as you need us. We aren't leaving until you go home.
Wishing you all the good luck possible,
Lex
