Stage1 Grade2
Just got back from the Doc's. Clear cell Stage 1 and Grade 2. 1.6cm in size. Doc says Ill cya in 6 months.. Funny how it flys by so quickly.

How is it a 5.5 is a Grade 1, and a 1.6cm is a Grade 2?
Because size and grade are orthogonal parameters.

Grade expresses the degree to which the tumor cells under a microscope differs from normal kidney cells. The higher the grade, the more agressive the cancer. Size doesnt play a part to the grading, only to the staging, T1, T2 etc.

Awesome!!!! What great news!! Stage 1, Fuhrman Scale 2 was like mine too except my tumor was larger. I am very happy for you Cran. Did you have a partial nephrectomy? I can't remember but this news definitely calls for celebration.
