I had radiation to thraot 35 times and chemo 3, after  going on 4 years out, i have lost 2 back teeth to radiation and had them removed, now I have 4 upper and a lower same area that the top of the tooth is decaying deeply, I am full dissability, but I heard that my medicare part b might help if they can prove that it was the radiation from the cancer...IS THIS TRUE????...I struggle working 2 days, all I can do and give out, and live for full time dissability, My wife became unfaithful to me and left me hanging from almost dying at home, yes it happens, I made it due to a good friend and god on my shoulder...please any adivce would be grateful. my teeth look like crap after i hade them fixed and alot of money invested earlier in my life. Thanks Dennis

    I Think....

    Dennis,

I believe in one of the dental threads (there are a few recently) there is a post that provides a link about Medicare. I believe it had to do with how they'd cover it based on a medical issue as opposed to a dental issue.

Are you speaking of this link?

This may be the one you are thinking of in your original thread.

I went to that link and as

I went to that link and as far as I can tell they only cover it prior to treatment. Jim is having a problem with his teeth breaking of and crumbling. We have no dental insurance and can't afford a specialist dentist. Does anyone know if the VA covers this for Korean Veterans?

    VA disability rating

    Debbie,

If Jim has a 100% disability rating with the VA, Dental is covered as far as I know. He would have to be either, Unemployable or Total and Permanent. That puts him in the Priority 1 rank.
