Great News For A Change!
Don't post that often, but do come to this sight often. I have been the sole caretaker to my hubby who was diagnosed almost a year and a half ago with Stage IV BOT cancer with lymph node involvement. Docs told us tumor was too large and close to his voicebox to operate first. So they did chemo and radiation. Thought all was good after that, but a reoccurrence did occur. It was larger than the first time. Surgery was the only option we were given. Anyways, Chuck had an almost total glossectomy, a partial larynegtomy, his hyoid bone was remove as well as all lymph nodes on both sides of his neck. He went yesterday (5 months post surgery) for a total body PET scan as well as a CT scan of head and neck. Doctor called me today and said there is no evidence of cancer!! We have been figthing this for the last 18 months and praise God, my prayer were answered.
After reading posts, I feel somewhat guilty posting good news when there is so much sad news. I hope that anyone out there reading this will see that there is hope! God Bless All Of You!!
