Semi newbie saying hi
So I'm not a newbie to cancer. I was dx'd wih colon cancer 12/2005. I hadn't had a recurance and colonoscopies all clean. So about 3 weeks ago found a lump in my breast. yep, the beast rears it's ugly head again. Right now I'm stage 2. I'm going for a PET scan tomorrow. Guess they are trying to see if it is anywhere else and if it is a new cancer or metastisized from colon. At this point I want a lumpectomy if we can. Have to see if Tomixfen will shrink the tumor then we will start that. When I read about the chemo it says not much effects. I'm hoping. The rounds of chemo really made me sick with the colon cancer and I would like to work through this chemo. I have two jobs just to get by and can't afford to not work the second part time job. UGH. Just wanted to post. Hard to talk to family because they are so upset. I have 4 wonderful children that helped get me through the first cancer. Hated telling them I had it again. I now have a wonderful new guy friend. My husband asked for a divorce almost a year after my first chemo. Both parents died since I got cancer. One was from prostrate cancer so I know it from the survivor side and the caregiver. I always think of the people here that I met and helped me through it. Guess I'm reaching out again to people that understand and don't judge. I want to send hugs to everyone here as I write this.

Hi! Sorry to see that you're
Hi! Sorry to see that you're here though. I still dream that someday this site will have a big old CLOSED sign on it because the cure for cancer has been found!
Congrats on NED for your colon cancer!
Good luck with the PET scan tomorrow. They are going use tamoxifen to shrink the tumor? I hope it works.
You are in the club now where we all understand everything that you feel and are going through unfortunately.
So, post often and keep us updated.

Welcome to the site. Sorry
Welcome to the site. Sorry to hear that you have to be here but there is lots of caring and knowledgable people here to help and support you.
I will be sending all positive thoughts for a clean PET scan for you.
I had uterus cancer in 2006 and now breast cancer (HER2 positive) and elected to have a double mastecomy with reconstruction because of the cancer in my family. I don't want to deal with this again but that his me.
Good luck and best of wishes

Wishing you good results on your test. This has to be hard the second time around.I've had breast exams for years since I was 20 and had benign tumors.Missed one check up and one mammo in 46 years.Had a cyst scare then and never will I miss another test. Have good doctors and they watch me carefully.
