Oncologist Visit
Today at 4pm is the first time I will see the Oncologist... I can't help but be anxious about it. Even more so then seeing the surgeons. Not really sure why. Anyway I keep telling myself that...
And if I can have the pink bus today so I can bring all the wonderful pink sisters with me, I won't feel so alone in his office. God Bless!... Kathy

Hi Kathy,
I'll be on that bus today!! You are in my thoughts and prayers. The appointment is so late, I think it would be best to just stop at a Happy Hour somewhere. First round on me!
Hugs,
Ginny
I know, I think they squeezed me in. He's the best in our area. so he is busy. Happy hour sounds like a good idea. I told my girls, I want a this cake all to myself when treatment is finished...lol... One slice would do me in!

I totally understand.
I remember looking out from my hospital room when I had my mastectomy and seeing the cancer center. I knew I would be going there eventually. It's kind of like "dotting the i's and crossing the t's" to make your diagnosis official (as if it wasn't already). Until you actually see the oncologist you still have a certain level of "denial" as if everything you have been through so far wasn't really necessary? We all understand how you feel, Kathy, and I'm so sorry you are having to go through this but we are definitely with you every step of the way.
HUGS!!!

Jamie I think you hit it right on... seeing the Oncologist is like actually having to admit that the cancer was/is real and the oncologist visit is the last of the Crossing T's and Dotting I's.... The Chemo treatments makes it real.
