wishing you the best
I too am in a season of dr. appts. but since I'm with local doctors it's one this week and one in 3 weeks and then another in June ... it seems to go on and on. I hope I'll think that this is all boring one day.
Will be thinking good thoughts for you

I have to go to MDAnderson for my first followup in June after completing radiation March 2013. But I only have to drive 200 miles to get there....a small bonus of moving from NYC to TX....but I am so unhappy with the hotels/accomodations/prices....where do u stay? any decent deals?

Ugggg.. Good deals? Not really! I always stay at Rotary House because I fly in and it would be more expensive to rent a car. I also like he fact I just walk across the sky bridge to get to the hospital itself. I think you cn get a room for about 115.00 a night, but you have to pay I think 5.00 a Day to park, which is less than the parking garages at MDA.
my husband and I actually considered moving to Houston or close by, when I was in treatment, but rented a temp housing apt. It's just too hard to leave what we consider "home". I think it might have been less expensive in the long run though! Good luck and let us know about your ck up results!

I have stayed at the Best Western and the Marriott. I like the Marriott better. You can apply for the medical rates at both places. They both have shuttles to and from MD Anderson. I usually walk but they can shuttle you. Parking is free at both. There are a few places to eat around each. The Marriott has a restaurant that is decent. The train on Main Street goes downtown and there are better food choices there. The nightly fees are $99.00 - $115.
Wishing you good results on your check up!
