CTscan today - wish me luck - UPDATE
I'm having my 6 month ctscan today. I am anxious and welcome good wishes from all. Hopefully the scan will be clear. (Unfortunately last one showed a lung nodule which was taken care of surgically.) Unfortunately, I'm not too hopeful. However, if all is clear, I graduate to 1 year scans. Yeah!
By the way, the imaging team and I have come up with some techniques to avoid some problems I had with my first scans. Since the solution moves slowly through my body (partly due to CRC, partly due to my body), I take most of the solution the night before. It's helped a lot. What used to be a 24+ hour process is now down to a more manageable day-long process. Also I've learned to drink a lot of water and walk a lot prior to the test. I hope these tips help others having the same issues.
This scan is very important to me in terms of my lifestyle. If it's clear, I will actively look for a part-time job in Milwaukee, where my husband lives. We've lived apart for 5 years. I've stayed in my present position throughout my diagnosis and treatment because we were going through a building plan at work. It's taking too long and I'm ready to move on to a less-stressful part-time job in Milwaukee or even Chicago. Also, if it's clear I can enjoy my bucket list trip to Paris and my son's upcoming wedding in September. Although I try not to let my cancer diagnosis completely affect my life, the scans do bring home my situation. I know I'm one of the lucky ones. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I don't usually write such long posts.
Best wishes to you all!

Definitely sending tons and tons of good wishes your way. I am thinking you will be packing soon and moving closer to hubby. I know what you mean about planning, I am on the 3 month CT intervals and plan for only 3 months at a time. I have a scan next month. These scans are sooooo stressful. It's like one little picture has your life in it's hands. I believe you are clean, and I am always right, just ask my husband.

Love your new slogan - avatar. I posted it on my computer after my initial diagnosis and discovery after disclosing my diagnosis of how many others were going through cancer and other challenges.
Yes 2013 a great year for me and others I hope.

I hope things go really well today...
They ended up having to go through the other end so the contrasts could meet in the middle. Bummer. At least it's done. Now just have to wait for results. Forgot about Computer Hal with the "Breathe in, hold your breathe, breathe" command. At least that gave me a chuckle.
