Pathology Report

I saw my ENT that did my surgery last Tuesday this morning . Got the news I expected that the Lymph Gland that I could feel was SCC . The good news is that the other two that he removed were not Cancer ! I will be going to MDAnderson in Houston in the next 2 or 3 weeks to see what if any treatments they recommend. So I will just be happy with what they say to do and do it !

My best to everyone and please say a little prayer that whatever MDA says to do works!

    Peggy....I'm sorry it turned out

    to be SCC....and you find yourself back in the trenches.  Gawd I hate this nasty disease.  You sound upbeat and positive tho, and that is at the very least, half the battle.  MDA will get a plan going for you, it's got everything under the sun there is, to beat this into submission.

    I am on board with Phrannie here. Staying positive is half the battle. We are all on your side in fighting the battle. Cancer sucks there ain't no two ways about it. One foot in front of the other will get you there.

    MDA is the best

    Sorry it turned out as it did.  But, MDA is one the best SCC H&N programs in the country.

    Hello Peggy !

    So darn it anyways !  I have many friends dealing with H/N dx's at MD Anderson.  I have heard amazing things about them.  I am putting you back into my pocket, and back in my thoughts and prayers until you are clear of the beast.  I'm sorry that you have to face this again....but remember we are all here pulling for you always !  Keep us updated on what they decide for tx's.  Hugs sent !  Katie

    Well damn, that's not the news I was expecting....

    Hopefully treatment will be somewhat non-envasive, and most important...successful.

    Wow...MD Anderson....they are the best and this is caught so early....the news is going to be great and this little bump is not going to do anything but give you a pause for a short time!

    I am so sorry for that report and for just learning of it now.  MDA will find a plan at this early stage and you will back to remission in no time you'll see.  Stay positive girl and know pour family will never leave not feeling like your wrap in hundReds of warm loving arms !  I already asked The Lord to go with you on this journey and to give you the strength to kick the beast dead in tfax face!

    I am glad you cleared that up , because I could not make anything out of it . hahaha I don't promise that I'm not nuts tho !!!! I just learned how to PM on here today thanks to John, but I may take you up on the offer.

    They called me today ( MDA )

    and I have an appointment at 8:30 on the 29th of May. Houston is about a 6 hour drive so we will have to go the day before. We live about 90 miles West of San Antonio . The lady that called told me to plan on being there for 3 to 5 days . It's going to be a little hard on the pocket book , but well worth it ! My PCP just wants their advice on treatments and wants me to get the treatments here at home so I don't have to stay there or go back and forth.Thank you so much for your thoughts ,prayers and hugs . Both the PCP and ENT said it's possable they will no treatments for now and just watch me closely. Wouldn't that be nice ?
