Dawne and I finally got to meet up this evening! It was great to see her and she looks wonderful! I got to meet her adorable 3 month old granddaughter for the first time. She is precious and puts a smile on Dawnes face, of course her 7 yr old granddaughter does too.Nothing like the grandbabies to put a smile on your face! Dawne was feeling good tonight and really does look great. Her hair has grown back in nicely and the oral chemo is not affecting it. It was so nice to see her and spend time with her. We are going to set up a time to get all our families together soon. We ate at Texas Roadhouse. They had a special deal tonight all across Texas. 10% of their total profit goes to the victims of the West explosion.Dawne and her husband have been a part of the VFD in the town they live in. So it was a good night for us to be there. Dawne sends her prayers and love to all.

I did get the injection in my knee today, Dr said it takes a couple of days to feel the effects of it. I am hoping its soon. God bless you all

    I am glad that Dawne is doing good and thank you for the update.

     

    Janice I had injections in my knees also at one point.  Ask your doctor about a product called Voltaren Gel.  It is a prescription.  I would rub it on my knee two to three times a day to help with pain issues.  It is an arthritis medication.  The pain would instantly vanish.

    Best of luck with your knees.

    Thank you Doris I will definitely do that. I have a small tear in my meniscus but, the main issue is arthritis and bone spurs. I had tried a cortisone injection in Jan. but it did not help much. This injection is synvisc so I am hoping it works better.Glad the gel worked so well for you. I wish you luck with yours too! God Bless you all

    I did get the injection. It has seemed to help. My knee feels better when I am up and going so that is great. I have to take it easy on stairs but I only have a few so thats not bad. My knee does still ache some at night but I am not sure anything will stop that. Thanks for asking. God Bless
