DaVinci 'Robotic' issues....

This is just an FYI - A story I came across. We've had multiple threads on this forum talking about 'Robotic Surgery' so I wanted to pass this along as an FYI. 

There are certainly traditional surgeries with complications and issues as well.

    DaVinci problems

    I had DaVincic laparascopic partial nephrectomy nearly two months ago. Six small incisions. Shoulders hurt for a couple of days from the gas, but other than that, it was a great experience.

    I would do it again in a Heartbeat!!

    Any surgery is dangerous period but my experience was great. According to all the crazy ads on TV I could be rich..I had that girlie Mesh surgery and had big problems..just had to have a repair done before I had my kidney surgery..and now there feels like another place is breaking through..I have seen the ads already for the Da Vinci lawsuits..It is like the weight loss drugs PHEN-PHEN...they helped so many people and when I read about the actual cases that caused the recall it made me so angry...all those pts were on doses so high and for so long their Drs. should have been shot!! My Dr. would only prescribe two weeks worth, then you had to come in and he checked your BP, Pulse rate, skin color, dehydration and every third visit did an EKG..if you didn't come in you didn't get a prescription.

    Anyway, If I ever have to have surgery again my Dr said we can do one more Da Vinci which would be fine with me, but I have my fingers crossed to never need anymore of this kidney surgery stuff!!
