Test Results...Waiting on a call back
So this is what my Dr. sent me...I am waiting for a phone call from her (we were playing phone tag yesterday)...I recently had an endometrial biopsy which was negative...this is my ultrasound results...
Findings:
The uterus is normal in size measuring 9.6 x 4.1 x 5.4 cm and the endometrial stripe is uniform in thickness measuring 11 mm. There is a hyperechoic focus within the endometrium measuring 2.4 x 0.7 x 0.4 cm in dimension. This could either represent
endometrial polypoid hyperplasia versus endometrial polyp. There is a cyst adjacent to this lesion.
The right ovary measures 2.8 x 2.3 x 2.2 cm with normal blood flow. The right ovarian resistive index is 0.54. There are right ovarian follicles.
The left ovary measures 3.1 x 1.9 x 2.6 cm with normal blood flow. The left ovarian resistive index is 0.77. There is a left ovarian follicle.
There is no free pelvic fluid.
any help would be appreciated....

Dr. just called and has given me the option to do three months of a 10 day cycle of Provera then have another ultrasound, or a D&C...lots to think about.

I have no idea whatHi Sunny!
I have no idea what this means...I thought hyperlasia was kind of an indication things could turn cancerous down the road and frequent follow-ups were important, but I am not sure.
It sounds like all is good, but again I have no idea.
I am sure one of the ladies will be along soon that have more experience.
Good luck!

My oncologist always said that a D&C is the definitive way of finding out what is going on inside the womb, so I think there's a lot to be said for going that route.
Hope all goes well for you

HelenI am glad you decided on the D&C. Ihad a ultra sound done both internal and external and they could not tell anything. My Gyn. suggested a D&C and laproscopic. I had them done and he removed my right ovary which was incased in a tumor and he did biopsies of my uterus. He didn't think any of it looked cancerous. The path report came back and I had ovarian and uterine cancer both which were slightly different from each other. My Gyn. sent me to a Gyn. Onc. surgeon and he did a complete debulking surgery. I was so thankful because it was also discovered that I had appendix cancer also which had 2 small tumors in the appendix and they were 2 different cancers.
Sorry not trying to scare you, just trying to let you know that cancers can hide. My CA125 blood test was totally normal and was not elevated at all to show any cancer existed.
