need help to tell the doctor if finishing up rad treatments

I haven't taken my radiation treatments for over about seven days.  I had to keep putting them off.  I go back tomorrow to see if I will continue or not I have six left, my problem is. My skin is really burnt and very sore and seems more skin is coming off and it has broken open in places and very raw, and bleeding.  It seems to hurt deep down  not just the surface. I can't stand for my cloths to touch it. The area is from back behind and, under my left arm all the way around the front to the start of my right breast. The area is wide also. Under my left arm where they drain it with a needle is like a large pouch that hangs down seems swollen.  It seems to have healed some but still sore raw and bleeding in places. Does any one else have any ideas if I should continue?  The cancer is a cancer that can't be treated  called Angiosarcoma  just prolonged, but they want me to continue. I don't think I can.  Do you have any advice please

    I don't know what to tell you except that I would think your rads onco might either give you more time to heal, or, just forget the next 6.  I think someone on your other post wrote that they knew someone that stopped rads for 2 weeks to give them time to heal and then started up again. 

    Hoping that you can stop now,

    sorry you are going through this..I have no advice....at all...I had 8wks daily raditaion but no issues...I HOPE they have some helpful suggestions, or change treatments..

    I am so sorry you are experiencing so much pain.  I wish I could give you some advice, but I think it is something that only you can decide with the help of your doctor.  Maybe you can take a break for a little longer to heal a bit more and then continue.  I think it is encouraging that they want you to continue.  I truly hope you can, but only you can deciide that.  I am so sorry you have to make this decision.  You are in my thoughts and prayers every day.

    From what you write, it

    From what you write, it sounds like you need a longer break.  I hope your rads oncologist agrees.

    I did half my rads
    athen she stoped it as I had responded. It didnt stop the growth but elowed a lot. This way I was able to get it again. So I had chemo and then asked for scans bcz of mor.pain to hips. pelvic, etc. There were.about 4 monts between. I dint burn so bad second time around which was great, cept when I burnt and cracked the first time it also damaged the lowere intestine and I ended up with divrrticulitis. Spent the day in er, gettung tested, meds and had me.double up pain meds. only liquids for almost a.week. But it healed really well!

    good luck to you, really hope yhey gve you lots of time ff to heal.

    I hope you can get more time

    I hope you can get more time off too, so, you can heal properly, or, just stop.  You didn't say how many you had left, so, how many do you have to go?
