what gets us through our treatments...............
A hubby posted what can I do special while at Disney just prior to my wife starting chemo. Many suggestions of course and many comments like mine...."Mickey got me through my bad days with cancer, radiation etc..and so many others have commented HOW they felt the same...
I Know each day I laid on the table for radiation I would say Disney, Disney...since I booked my first girls week once i found out cancer as a treat for theh end of treat ment...and it helped me so much..and many agreed it did for them as well..

Getting through treatment with ice cream and prayer
Good subject Denise. In my experience ice cream got me through chemo, I never really had a taste for it before but during chemo I craved it. During radiation I relied on prayer, when people would ask me how long each treatment took I would answer "about five Hail Marys". Love Surf

Let me see . . . What got me
Let me see . . . What got me through chemo?
- prayers of many
- positive attitude
- many more good days than not
- good support team, from relatives to friends from church
- sometimes, near the end, telling myself to "just do it!"
- smiles and care I always got from the nurses and others when I went in for chemo/shots/blood work
- goal I set for myself about a four-day vacation with my husband and some friends that was scheduled about two months in advance, with reservations made and non-refundable tickets bought -- I really wanted to be done with chemo and could be if I stayed on schedule, which I did; vacation happened about 10 days after my final chemo treatment last July
