I think of Dawne often, and I'm glad she's hanging in there. This disease can be so hard. Please give her a giant hug from me. I miss her here, and I'm sending my prayers.
Yes, I saw the news about West, TX. You are right, it has been a tough week for our nation.
Hugs,
Linda

Such a tragedy, and, our country did not need another one. From what I saw too, it does look like they slipped through the cracks with inspections etc.
My prayers for all of the families that lost someone,
Rose
I am praying for Texas and praying for Dawne and her family.

Thanks Janice for updating us as I hope you know that Dawne is always on our minds and in our hearts. She certainly deserves a break. She's been fighting so hard for so long. I am so happy that you live close to her and can visit with her. Give her a really big hug from me and you take good care of yourself.
Last week was just awful for everyone. My prayers for everyone.

As always...
Thanks, Janice. I keep Dawne close in hopeful thoughts; and, each time I log on here... search for an update.
Yes, the disaster in Texas was horrific. An awful week (or so) for our nation. Prayers for all those affected.
Kind regards, Susan

Thank you all for the kind words for Dawne and West. West is only 45 minutes or so from me so it hit close to home. My daughter and SIL know one of the VFD members who is missing. He was at the plant when the explosion happened. For a small town (3000) everyone knows everyone. It is a small czech community focused on family, and known for their kolaches. It is coming out that there were saefty issues with the plant. It has been there since 1962 and the town sorta grew out to it. It is a tragic event. This has indeed been a sad week for America, my heart is heavy for all involved with Boston too. I am hearing on the news this morning that one suspect is dead and another on the run or maybe caught by now. I have not heard in the last little bit.
I will pass along to Dawne all the kind words. Dawne and I met on this board and then realized how close we lived to each other. As it is with pink sisters we formed a quick bond. She is one of my dearest friends. She is an inspiration to all fighting this battle!
Thank you for asking about me, I am still dealing with some knee issues. I had a cortisone injection but it did not really help. I see a Dr on Monday about a different type of injection to see if it might be a better choice. I go for my routine mammo the same day. Prayers appreciated )
Thank you again for all you kind words and prayers. Dawne thinks of you all often and is very thankful for each one of you. God Bless
(((hugs))) Janice
I always love to read where some of ths sisters on here are able to meet in real life. That is so great! Dawne and you are both blessed to be so close. Enjoy your visit with her when you can get together again!
