Thanks Linda and Jean!  Yes, this pink bus gets around and I know we are all so thankful for it!  I am crossing my fingers too that the main word I hear is Arthritis!  Odd to want to hear it, but, it beats the alternative by a landslide!

 

The bone scan is the easiest test that you can have in my opinion.  Your clothes are on and you just lay there while the machine goes over you.  It does take awhile, but, close your eyes and dream of a beach somewhere.

I alway think of being at the beach with my eyes closed and ths sound being waves.  I have arthritis and can't lay on those flat boards anymore, so I won't take bone or PET scans or an MRI which requires a long time laying on those boards (with so little padding).  I need to have ct scans regularly but they take only a few minutes on the board.  I doubt very much that I will ever go to a beach again.   I wear a ankle brace and it doesn't go with the beach scene.  I am sure if I laid down, I would need a lot of help getting up with bad knees, ankles, spine and arms.  However dreaming is free isn't it?  Every test that took time, I would dream of being at a beach instead of inside a machine.

I wish Kylez good luck with her scan.

I had a little drink yesterday too Megan.  I needed it to "relax" me for the crazy bus ride.  lol
